Executive Director Announcement
Join us in welcoming our new Executive Director, Toni Marie Gomes!
The Blackstone Valley Advocacy Center (BVAC) is pleased to introduce Toni Marie Gomes, MBA, as the Executive Director, effective immediately. Toni will use her years of nonprofit experience in grant writing, team building and leadership to foster the growth of the vision of BVAC in the years to come.
“I am pleased to welcome Toni as the Executive Director for BVAC.” Board Vice President, Carol Osso, commented, “Her knowledge and experience in nonprofits will help grow our programs and funding. We are looking forward to the future growth of our agency with Toni’s leadership going forward.”

of domestic violence and their families in our service area.”
Mrs. Gomes is no stranger to nonprofit work in RI. She comes to BVAC from the Mt. Hope Learning Center in Providence. where she served as the Executive Director. Gomes’s philanthropic career spans more than two decades in leadership roles with various nonprofit organizations in RI, including the Health and Social Services Consortium, The Urban League of Rhode Island, and The Institute for the Study & Practice of Nonviolence.
In her spare time, Toni loves traveling to Disney World, painting, and spending time with her husband and two daughters, and of course, their dog, Rocco.
